Manuele Civa was born in Cremona in 1987.
In 2006, at the young age of 18, he graduated from the International School of Violin Making under the guidance of Maestros Luca Bellini and Massimo Ardoli. Immediately after he entered the workshop of Maestro Stefano Conia to perfect his construction technique. He opened his own workshop in 2009 and became a member of the Consorzio Liutai “Antonio Stradivari” Cremona and a member of the Associazione Liutai Italiani.
Currently, he works in his workshop in the shadow of the cathedral in Piazza Sant’Antonio Maria Zaccaria.
In the last few years he has developed his own personal style characterized by harmonious arching and elegant lines that make his instruments appealing to both eye and ears. One of his characteristics is also the best excellent choice of wood, always aged to guarantee the top quality of sound.
He mainly uses models from the classical Cremonese school and of his own personal design. He makes both new and antiqued instruments.
He is available for collaboration with musicians to satisfy their unique needs in an instrument.
