He was born in Argentina in 1954. For many years he has attended the workshop of an italian-argentinian violinmaker, Alessandro Bertoncello, in Buenos Aires, where he made his first instrument as well as he made his first experiences in restoring.

He moved to Cremona in 1986, in order to dedicate himself more deeply to the violinmaking art.

In that period of time, he attended the Civic School of Violinmaking in Milan, where he studied restoration with Gabriele Negri and making with Nadia Mantovani, obtaining his diploma in 1990.

He also attended the Bow making lessons in Cremona, under the guidance of M. Emilio Slaviero, Giovanni Lucchi and Fiorenza Manfredini.

He usually uses classical patterns, from the cremonese traditional violinmaking, such as Bergonzi, Stradivari, Guarneri and Amati; from the brescian tradition, such as G.P. Maggini and from the venetian one, such as D. Montagnana. He is also specialized in the construction and restoration of baroque instruments, such as viola da gamba, viola d’amore, violins and cellos.

His workshop is located in the historical centre of Cremona.
